Features:

The Toyo Proxes T1R tyres are manufactured by Toyo Tyres – a global leader in design and manufacture of high quality tyres. Toyo is a Japanese company with a worldwide presence in key tyre markets including Europe and USA. The Toyo Proxes T1R tyres are specially designed to fit high speed saloons, sports cars and sports coupes. Made of advanced tread compound, these tyres maximise traction and offer highly responsive braking on both wet and dry surfaces.

You can be assured of great control, safe driving and minimal noise with Toyo Proxes T1R Tyres. The unique tread design consists of a stiff rib band which lines the outer tyre shoulder, resulting in accurate steering responsiveness plus excellent cornering at different speeds. The distinct V-shaped tread enhances wet and dry performance. It even disperses surface water efficiently, minimising chances of aquaplaning. The tyre tread design has been optimised for noise reduction.

These are great tyres for the mk5 Zetec-S. They look superb, are well priced and perform nicely - I am convinced they do better in the wet than the Pirellis I had on previously. They perhaps don't last quite as long due to the softer compound, but for the price they are still great value. Another plus is that they feature a sort of built-in rim protector - important for looking after your beautiful alloys.

Have used Michelin for many years doing around 30k a year with the Michelin lasting 25k but did have a set of sports version which last 12k (only once). Toyo were fitted as i need them quickly and Michelin were not in stock at that time 18.5K later they have just finished there life, for the price againest the Michelin I would buy again. My only concern they did aquaplan once on the motorway but maybe the michelin would had done as well.
