Manufacturer: Goodyear
Tyre: Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA

The Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres are 4x4 tyres from Goodyear Tyres that offer confident grip and performance on the toughest off road terrain. These tyres are also associated with significant ride comfort on road too. The Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres are all terrain (AT) tyres offering superior traction on snowy and muddy surfaces. Designed specially for pick-up vans, SUVs and CUVs that have frequent off road usage, these tyres are factory fitted on the Audi Q7. The Wrangler range is Goodyear’s 4x4 range of tyres that consists of popular products like the Goodyear Wrangler HP tyres equipped with the SmartTRED Weather Reactive Technology.

Confident grip on tough terrain: The special long wearing silica intensive tread compound of the Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres is formed into a symmetric tread pattern that exhibits rigid shoulder blocks that improve grip and traction on all surfaces. With the increased contact patch, you will also experience greater ease of handling.
Reduced braking distances on wet surfaces: The tread pattern of the Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres features high concentration of blades, which form biting edges. These edges grip well on all kinds of wet surfaces, on road and off road, providing you with extremely responsive braking. According to the official website, the Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres deliver 15% shorter braking distance as compared to their predecessors.
Superior off road traction: The Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres exhibit an optimal tread pattern that effectively evacuates mud and slush delivering superior off road traction, and giving you the confidence of high grip on all surfaces.
Quiet comfortable drive: The Kevlar layers in the SilentArmor technology also act as noise absorbers, delivering a quiet and peaceful ride.

The AT in the Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres stands for ‘All-Terrain’, while the SA stands for ‘SilentArmor’ technology, which is the USP of these tyres. (Yes we spell it as ‘armour’, but remember Goodyear is an original American company). This technology incorporates 2 Dupont Kevlar layers in the tread area. This material is 5 times stronger than steel and increases the resistance of the tread to cuts and punctures, enabling the tyres to tackle tough terrain with relative ease. The sidewall is reinforced with Durawall technology that further increases resistance to cuts and tears in the sidewall. The presence of 2 high tensile steel belts within the tyre structure also contributes to the toughness of the tyres.
