Citroen, founded by Andre-Gustave Citroen in 1919, is called one of the first mass-production car companies outside of the United States. In eight short years, the company had become Europe's largest car manufacturer.

Like many car manufacturers that were around in World War II, Citroen was deeply impacted by the war movement. It was used solely by German occupation forces in France. It wasn't until 1948 that Citroen was able to show off a new model: the 2CV. That's not to say that the wait was not worth it - the car would continue to be in production until 1990.

The French company spent a considerable amount of time developing aerodynamic (and potentially fuel saving) designs and was using wind tunnels to test their designs in the 1950s. They were also the pioneers of the modern way that sales and service networks are setup in the automobile industry.

Other innovations for the company include producing the first hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension system in 1954, the first European production car with disc brakes in 1955, and the first swivelling headlights allowing for greater visibility on winding roads in 1967.

National Tyres (Fitting partner of choice) and its 225 branches nationwide is ready to help you outfit your vehicle with a set of Citroen tyres. There are over 1,000 Citroen tyre specialist fitters waiting to aid in the selection of your next purchase of Citroen tyres.

The wheelbase of the vehicle is 2,760 millimetres. This particular model was the best-selling multi-purpose vehicle and compact MPV in the United Kingdom.
