Bridgestone tyres has announced that they will launch the latest addition to their premium Battlax range – the Battlax Hyper Sport S20 on January 1 st 2012. This is a premium motorcycle sport tyre for 600cc – 1300 cc machines.
According to company officials, the S20 will offer the best performance for European sport riders on all roads and all riding conditions. It will be the best set of tyres for your sports motorcycle whether you are riding along winding country roads, highways, city streets or track circuits and irrespective of whether the road conditions are wet or dry.

The Battlax Hyper Sport S20 will be available in four front wheel sizes and seven rear wheel sizes to cater to different vehicles. The Battlax range is Bridgestone’s premium line up of motorcycle tyres developed for both the track and the road. With the S20, the company has used the S(sport) symbol for the first time with the Battlax range. The other brands in this range include the Battlax BT 016 Pro and the Battalx BT016., while at the top position in this range are the MotoGP class tyres which are used in the FIM road races.
The Technology behind the S20
Bridgestone engineers have used technological innovations first developed for the MotoGP tyres in the design of the S20. According to company officials, the S20 comes closest to the MotoGP tyres in terms of technology.
The main aim in development of the S20 has been to improve grip on wet as well as dry surfaces and to ensure that mileage is not compromised due to enhanced performance. The improved grip of the S20 provides higher stability in cornering that is an advantage on the road as well as the track.

Launch Plans for the Battlax Hyper Sport S20
Bridgestone has announced that the S20 will be launched in the European markets in January 2012, followed by a Japanese launch. There are also plans to take the product to the Americas, Asia and Oceania.
