Mar 2012: TyreSafe Reveals Details of Next Industry Briefing
TyreSafe has announced that its next industry briefing will focus on two important issues for the industry - part worn tyres and the soon to be enforced tyre labelling legislation
TyreSafe is the UK’s premier tyre safety agency which works towards increasing tyre safety awareness amongst the general public.
In order to achieve this aim effectively, TyreSafe works closely with the tyre industry including tyre manufacturers, equipment and accessories manufacturers and suppliers and online and offline tyre retailers. Several agencies that have an interest in road safety issues like the Driving Standards Agency and the Highways Agency also work with TyreSafe.
TyreSafe announced that its next industry communication event will look at the pressing issues the industry is currently facing.
Details of the Briefing Event
TyreSafe said that event will take place on May 3rd 2012 at the Ardencot Manor Hotel at Warwickshire. There are no entry fees for the event. Registrations for the event are open now.
You can secure your place right now and be free from any last minute hassles. Contact Christine Joyce by email on cjoyce@tyresafe.org or phone 0845 301 6852. The event will commence at 10.30 in the morning and is expected to finish by mid-day.
There will be buffet lunch and visitors can use the opportunity for networking with industry peers.
Areas Covered in the Briefing
TyreSafe confirmed that the May 3rd briefing will cover the following areas
Tyre Labelling Legislation
The briefing will provide an overview of the EU regulation on tyre labelling that will come into force later this year.
Details of Forthcoming TyreSafe Campaigns
The briefing will also see TyresSafe sharing the details of the tyre safety campaigns they have planned for this year. The organization’s imminent part-worn tyre campaign will be reviewed.
Also TyreSafe will launch its campaigns directed specifically towards fleet operators and young motorists. This will help companies and organizations look for ways to align their own tyre safety campaigns and initiatives along these lines to result in greater impact on the target audience.
Sussex Police Case Study
TyreSafe confirmed that the briefing will include a case study presented by the Sussex Police. They will present how they worked closely with Chandlers BMW in October 2011 to raise tyre safety awareness at a local level.
The intention of presenting the case study is to provide ideas to those in the audience to replicate the model, albeit with necessary customizations, in their own areas.
TyreSafe Urges Everyone to Attend
TyreSafe has urged everyone associated with the tyre industry and those working in the interest of road safety to attend the event. The event provides an opportunity to understand pressing safety issues and evaluate the challenges currently facing the industry.
Mr. Stuart Jackson, TyreSafe Chairman said that there are many more exciting and important developments poised to occur within the industry in the 12 months. As a result, he added, attending the May TyreSafe briefing becomes almost compulsory for anyone associated with the tyre industry or road safety.
