June 2012: The Aftermath of Reifen 2012

The 27th edition of the well known Reifen Forum has had the biggest success to date as more than 19000 visitors have participated at the event, according to organizers.

The organizing company has announced that that the number of visitors was the highest to date and that the number of international participants has also achieved a new record.

The event was dominated by mainly two points of interest: the future product release from the participants and the new tyre labelling and legislation in the domain that will be implemented in the following months.

The visitors that have participated at Reifen 2012 have been on a high international level as they came from more than 130 countries worldwide.

More than 1/3 of the visitors have concluded a form of business transaction and about 88% of the visitors were business representatives of their companies with the capability of engaging the represented company in a form of business transaction.

At the event 653 exhibitors participated, both national and international, from a total of 44 nations.

The organisers of Reifen declared that they were pleased with the convention results. They also declared that the success of the event shows that, despite the gradual cybernation of the business industry, there are areas in which physical interaction between business partners is still mandatory.

The Date For The Reifen 2014

The Reifen 2012 event has just ended and it seems that the date for the next event has already been set. The 28th edition of Reifen will take place in 2014 between the 27th and the 30th of May. From the participants of 2012, 93% have declared that they have firm intensions of participating in the 28th edition.

Regarding the Reifen event in Essen, many company representatives have stated that they consider it to be the most important event for the tyre industry.

Pirelli representatives have declared that they consider the Reifen fair to be the premium event in the tyre segment as it helps the company to interact with customers at a national and international level.

They also declared that the 2012 edition held a high level of importance especially because the fair was placed in the same timeline as with the new EU tyre labelling and that Pirelli’s management is proud about the fact that the Cinturato P7 Blue has been able to achieve A ratings in certain sizes for rolling resistance and wet grip. The tyres will be available for purchase in July.

Nokian Tyres representatives have declared that the Reifen event has been satisfactory as the company was able to conduct many business meetings and contracts for both their winter and summer tyre line. They announced their interest to participate in the future event as well as this event is an opportunity to interact with a large array of possible consumers.

In the meanwhile the next major event of this magnitude is the 5th Reifen China which will take place between the 22nd and the 24th of November this year.
