June 2012: Pirelli UK Has a New Chairman
Dominic Sandivasci is the new Pirelli UK chairman as the successor of Lord Marshall. Scandivasci has had a prolonged experience with Pirelli as he has been the managing director of the UK Pirelli branch since 1998, position to which he will still hold responsibilities even after changing his position.
Dominic Scandivasci will supervise the Pirelli UK branch from the Burton upon Trent site.
Dominic Scandivasci first arrived at Pirelli in November 1987 and between 1987 and 1992 he was a member of the Original Equipment sales department.
During this period he achieved great results in the department, promoting rapidly.
After less than one year after he joined the department and he became one of the executives of the Group. After a couple of years, in 1994, Scandivasci advanced to Sales Director in the UK and Eire region.
1997 brought a new career boost as he became the Commercial Director and after 5 more years he became The Head of Western Europe, area of sales which included besides UK and Eire, Holland.
After about 10 years from joining the Pirelli Company, Scandivasci was promoted to Managing Director of Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd.
Scandivasci is one of the best and most enduring Managing Director’s of Pirelli.
His commercial managing policies have focused primarily on the end consumer, a direction which assured Pirelli’s growth over the past couple of years, occupying one of the lead positions in sales as well as quality and high performance.
One of the most important Pirelli business transactions in which Scandivasci participated was the addition of the Modular Integrated Robotized System (MIRS) production process in the Pirelli UK portfolio at the company’s site in Burton upon Trent.
Another important project in which Dominic Scandivasci participated was the Formula One Pirelli operation combined with the Motorsport Pirelli operation under the Pirelli Motorsport Services Ltd.
Scandivasci declared that he is extremely pleased with the new position that he has been offered as this is the ultimate position in the growth accolade, position that is strived to be achieved by so many and it is seen as the ultimate achievement.
He hopes to continue providing the same high results that Lord Marshall had provided during his management.
