June 2012: Nexen N’Blue Eco Was Able to Achieve a BB Rating

The new Nexen N’Blue Eco tyres, line that have entered the market the previous July, has been subject to tests in order to determine its ranking according to the new European labelling system that will become mandatory on the European market with November 2012.

According to the tests, the tyres have achieved a BB rating, which is a considerably good rating. Currently, the only tyre manufacturer to obtain an AA rating in this segment is Pirelli and Nexen’s results were quite high, making it among the most favourable products.

Nexen Tyre Representative has also declared that they are satisfied with the achievements of the Nexen N’Blue Eco tyres regarding grading levels.

In tests the tyres were able to achieve the highest results in terms of energy efficiency, getting the A label, while in wet braking the tyres achieved good overall results which obtained a B labelling.

So, the final results would be an AB rating, result which is the highest at the moment for an eco-friendly Korean manufactured tyre line.

Manufacturer representatives have declared at the current Reifen 2012, that the Nexen N’Blue Eco tyre line has also achieved a noise level of only 71db which is one of the best results recorded so far on the tyres tested.

The Nexen N’Blue Eco tyres were tested in terms of noise level last December. The tests were conducted by the automobile Department of Daeduk College, Korea.
