Aug 2012: Brityrex 2012 – All Set to Be a Major Success
Brityrex International 2012 is slated to start two months later in October. But from the looks of it, it appears that the show is heading to be a major success this year.
The event organisers ECI International have commented that they have received unprecedented interest from exhibitors this year. Mr. Paul Farrant, ECI Managing Director informed us that with still two months for the show to launch, the available exhibitor space has dropped to less than 10%.
“UK Tyre Industry Going through Numerous Changes at the Moment”, says Mr. Farrant
Mr. Farrant added that currently the UK tyre industry is poised on the verge of numerous exciting and major changes like the new EU labelling legislations that will soon become mandatory and also changes related to pressure monitoring systems.
Under such circumstances, tyre manufacturers are keen to interact closely with trade partners and help them understand and implement such changes in a smooth manner. And Brityrex provides the perfect opportunity for this.
Additionally, it is Mr. Farrant’s opinion that the highly competitive nature of the UK tyre market is also contributing towards the high levels of interest in Brityrex this year. Mr. Farrant confirmed that several tyre manufacturers from around the world are keen to establish their presence in the UK market and are looking at Brityrex as the platform to do that.
The overall message is clear. If you are looking to exhibit at Brityrex, you had better act now, for sometime later may well be truly too late.
Several New Exhibitors at Brityrex 2012
Sources have confirmed that Michelin Training Centre will mark it's debut at Brityrex this year. In addition, some of the other first time exhibitors are Harvie Tyres, Maritime Cargo Services and Kingpin Wheels.
Harvie tyres will use the Brityrex platform to launch their Mondolfo Ferro workshop equipment range. According to Harvie’s UK Sales Manager, Mr. Stuart John, this new workshop equipment range is perfectly poised to meet customer demands in the areas of quality and reliability and Brityrex would be the perfect opportunity to introduce this equipment to them.
In addition, Harvie Tyres at stand 73 will offer demonstration of their various products like the AS944 tyre changing machines and Raptor tyre demounting technology.
Maritime Cargo Services (MCS), who can be found at stand 47 are also a first time exhibitor at Brityrex, MCS offers freight forwarding services for the tyre industry.
Currently, the company is serving the needs of more than 20 tyre importers by looking after various aspects of customs clearance and ensuring delivery to more than 100 warehouses throughout the UK and Ireland. MCS brings to the table its unique and highly effective freight tracking and management system called the MOATS.
The company wants to utilise the Brityrex platform to drive home their message that effective freight management is a critical factor in tyre costing as shipping costs can account for up to 3-10% of the retail price of tyres.
Brityrex 2012 is scheduled from 9th – 11th October 2012 at Event City, Manchester. Visitor pre registration is already open. For more details, visit http://www.eci-international.com/brityrex2.html.
