Feb 2012: Maxxis Launches New Generation of MCV3 Van Tyres
Maxxis International announced the launch of the new generation of the MCV3 range of van tyres. Company officials revealed that the newest generation of the MCV3 tyres have a longer life and deliver greater handling capability across a variety of conditions.
Features of the New MCV3 Tyres
The new tyres are equipped with wider main grooves. This improves aquaplaning resistance, offering greater stability at high speeds and during cornering. The main grooves and the shoulders sport more sipes so that there is improved traction in snow and mud. As compared to the predecessors, the new generation MCV3 tyres have larger shoulder blocks, sporting criss-cross interconnection. This prevents uneven wear and ensures longer life and durability of the tyres. The special cross grooves on the shoulder keep the noise levels low by improving the water dispersal.
The Sizes
The MCV3 tyres will now be available in the following sizes – 195/75R16 C 8 PR 107/105 R and 235/65R 16C 10PR 121/119N.

The UR275, suitable for commercial trucks is available in a variety of sizes to enable fitment on medium size trucks and offers greater maneuverability and better handling. Official sources revealed that the UR275 boasts of lower rolling resistance that improves fuel economy and sports a strong puncture resistant casing that increases the tyre life. In fact the tyre life is further helped along by the tyre’s unique tread compound that resists heat generation and wear. The rib pattern helps deliver a quiet drive with enhanced comfort value.

The UE 168 is R speed rated and sports an additional full nylon cap to improve stability and safety.
