05/07/2012: Marangoni Makes an Impact at Reifen 2012: Reveals First New Labels

Marangoni unveiled its first European labels as per the new EU directives during the recently concluded Reifen 2012. The new EU tyre labelling regulations require manufacturers to provide information on three important parameters on the label – fuel efficiency (rolling resistance), wet braking and external noise levels.

Marangoni Tyres Fare well on all Parameters

As the tyre labels revealed, Maragoni products are faring reasonably well on all 3 parameters. The company’s Verso tyre that was highlighted in the show (size 225/50 R17) scored a respectable C grade for both rolling resistance and wet braking, while the noise levels stood at 72 decibels. Another Marangoni tyre, the Meteo HP of identical size also scored a CC72 grade.

In fact, this was the label trend observed in majority of the tyres across the show. There were very few tyres who managed an AA or even an AB score on the rolling resistance and fuel efficiency ratings.

So Marangoni Tyres are on the ‘right track’, so to speak.

Marangoni makes an Impact at Reifen 2012

The company took maximum advantage of the platform provided by Reifen 2012. In addition to revealing the new tyre label, Marangoni showcased several of their flagship products and introduced new products.

Taking centre stage at the Marangoni Reifen stand was M-Power, the company’s high performance tyre brand.

The E-Comm and 4-Winter Comm tyres, which are Marangoni summer and winter tyres respectively for light commercial vehicles were also highlighted.

And in a smart marketing move, Marangoni took the opportunity to introduce their newest winter product for North European customers- the 4ICE Geco.

Marangoni Presents Blue Team Proposal at the Reifen Stand

An important reason for the success of Marangoni tyres is the strong support the company offers to its dealers. Marangoni has an exclusive Blue Team project for dealers active in Germany Austria and the Swiss market.

Members of the Blue Team get high quality logistical service with tyre deliveries being made to them within 24-48 hours of placing the order. The deliveries are made from the company’s German warehouse located in Solingen.

In a bid to attract more dealers and get more of the existing dealers to join the Blue Team, company officials were running a presentation on the Blue Team features and benefits exclusively for dealers in a designated area within the stand.

The Show Stealer at the Marangoni Stand

In our opinion, the star of the Marangoni stand was undoubtedly the company’s 2012 Motor show tuning car – the Range Rover Evoque HFI-R Marangoni.

This vehicle sporting a Si4 2.0 Turbo petrol engine is tuned to deliver 300 bhp power. But the fuel consumption and emissions are kept low with a unique methane and hydrogen propulsion system.

Marangoni research has team designed the “M-Power EvoRed” tyres specifically for this vehicle. These one-of-a-kind tyres in the experimental version are 20 inch alloys and composed of special grade silica and other innovative materials so that the rolling resistance and thus fuel consumption could be minimized.

All in all, it was a very busy Reifen 2012 for Marangoni.
